About the Field Service Technician Position

We are looking for a self-starting Field Service Technician to deliver a high level of customer service to our company customers. We want you to drive the kind of service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention, and increases profitability.

You understand information technology and the operational challenges of small and medium‐sized businesses. You also thrive on making, fostering, and growing relationships. Field Service Technician Responsibilities

  • Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches

  • Tie workflow to schedule

  • Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks

  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions

  • Produce timely and detailed service reports

  • Document processes

  • Operate vehicle in a safe manner and ensure proper use of field automation systems

  • Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols

  • Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization

  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings

  • Build positive relationships with customers

  • Other things you'll also do:

    • Keep up to date on new technologies, products, services relevant to our offerings
    • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
    • Attend and actively participate in events such as lunch & learns, tech talks, and other ad hoc or informal happy hour‐type meetings after hours

Field Service Technician Requirements

  • Proven field service experience

  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment

  • Solid written and verbal communications skills

  • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules

  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications

  • Ability to work independently and productively without constant supervision

  • Attitude and aptitude are key! We need someone who is eager to learn and comes to work ready to tackle any situation

  • A heart for helping customers solve problems

  • Icing on the Cake:
    • Technical degree or certification
    • Low Voltage Experience/certification
    • ConnectWise experience.
    • Experience with Cisco technology products and services
    • Experience working for or with a managed IT services provider
